Hi Ladies,
President Williams has requested that each and every visiting teacher report to their Supervisors the following information by JULY 19th!
1. Are your sisters basic needs being met?
2. How's the employment situation in their homes?
3. How are their kids doing?
FYI: The July enrichment activity has been canceled. Please feel free, however, to contact Mary Webster for a private in-home quilting lesson. (I got one, and it was awesome!)

Quilting with Mary
Ladies,Mary Webster is so generously offering us her time and expertise in quilting! We are so fortunate!
Is there anybody out there that took one of Mary's patterns and is interested in getting started sooner than our July enrichment?!
Mary is willing to come to your home and help you get started! How fantastic is that?!?
PLEASE email me or leave a comment on the blog to let me know if you are planning on starting a quilt with Mary! (we need to know how many are interested in this project!) Let me know if you are ready to start and want a house call!!

p.s. This is not a picture of our quilt - just a cute one I found on the net to make this post pretty

Until We Meet Again
I missed this one that was posted a few weeks ago. It is timely to post it now - in honor of Fathers... Father's Day, those that miss a dad or a son today and to those that serve our country.
Happy Dad's Day.
Happy Dad's Day.

Utah Cherries
Sisters, This is a message from our friend in the Stake, Shirley Brown.
Bing and Rainer Cherries
expected delivery date is July 9
20 lb box of Bing for $25
15 lb box of Rainer for $25
If you are not familiar with the Rainer, they are my personal favorites. You can bottle them just like the Bing but they are plumper and sweeter and firmer than the Bing as well as being a golden yellow in color with a red blush to them. Yum! So delicious! Even at the more expensive price, that averages to be about $1.66 a pound and if you know Rainer cherries, they run as high as $7-8 a pound in the stores.
Just let me know via email Ssladebrown@msn.com or call me at 623-486-8101 with any questions. You pay when you pick up. Thanks!

Good Things to Come
"Don't you Quit!"
This is the newest message from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints page on YouTube. This is a most beautiful message from Jeffery R. Holland. Please take a moment and listen.
The final words (in this video) of our beloved Apostle, "Trust in God and believe in good things to come..."

Are You the Missing Link?
Please don't forget a "memorable" Enrichment tomorrow!
Are You the Missing Link?
Tuesday, June 15th
7 pm beginning in RS room.
**Please bring items for the sharing table! (quality items that you want to give away)**
**Please bring items for the brag table! Are you working on something special? Maybe you have a quilt that will be inspirational for our next Enrichment with Mary! Please bring it for the Brag table!**
First, Sister Rita Mitchell will be visiting us to discuss the most amazing family history book that she assembled for her family. She will share with us her secrets on compiling material and assembling this true family heirloom. I really look forward to this talk, she is a superb teacher and speaker!
Then Brother Bob Hunsaker will be favoring us with a tutorial that he has prepared for those of us to whom, "Computer is a SECOND language". Some of the material he plans to cover includes dealing with photos on your computer. For those that need that class, we are so fortunate to have Brother Hunsaker agree to teach it, if you don't need it - you may begin on the third class... (from what I understand, I am to regret converting as an adult and missing Bro. Hunsaker's Seminary - another truly amazing teacher!)
Nicole is hosting the third "Family Tree" class. sign-ups have already gone around for this craft. The cost is $3.50 - and you can bring that by on Tuesday night. (if you did not get to sign up, but would like to, please let Nicole know - she is so nice - she will accommodate you!)
NURSERY IS AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO REALLY NEED IT!

Book Club June - Sneak Peek
A few things about book club...
1. I say this every month, so you should know by now that I REALLY MEAN IT!... if you missed last month's meeting... Seriously folks. We tried to talk about the book, but it bored us in comparison to the rest of the conversation. Hopefully this month's choice will hold up better!
2. We are going to start meeting on a regularly scheduled basis at Florence Proctor's home. I will get to you with the details of that later.
3. We are running out of suggestions that Sister Farley left us with (I sure hope she comes back soon!)
Here is the last one.. our June selection:
"The Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale.
Happy Reading!

New Mormon.org
...message on the front page of mormon.org
Mormons come from diverse backgrounds and experiences who all share a deep commitment to Jesus Christ and to each other. The new Mormon.org is designed for visitors to learn more about members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each profile is a collection of stories and testimonies from Mormons. Participation is optional, but you must be a member of the Church to create a profile. The profiles will be made public this summer when the new site will launch. English-only profiles will be available this year; other languages will follow after.
I created a profile, and definitely hope that those that can will take the time, be brave, and do the same. I did not provide my full name, but did provide a picture of myself. I was asked several questions about my background, how I serve the church and my testimony of the church. I sincerely hope that this will be a great missionary tool, I saw it as such. My testimony, although personal, is for all the world to see - my address is not - and they did not ask for it! (so I feel totally safe)
I am taking liberties here, and calling this, "A Service Opportunity"
